Movers and Shakers” are a non-profit organisation based in Almoradi, that supports people with neurological diseases by providing a local contact and mutual support in a friendly atmosphere, where families, carers and individuals can share thoughts and experiences.
The charity is run entirely by volunteers and relies on donations raised through fundraising events, such as quizzes and craft fayres to support its members by providing grants to improve the quality of life for sufferers, carers and their families for example - equipment for the home not funded by the health authorities and much needed respite care.
The Movers and Shakers Lunch Club is held on the First Tuesday of every month (except August) at: Silverstones Bistro and Bar, Avd. Romero, Montebello, Algorfa between 1pm and 3pm.
