The Casanovas Orchestra continues the tradition established by the Casanovas Orchestra, founded by Maestro Francisco Casanovas in the second half of the 1920s, with which he undertook numerous international tours. It also carries on the legacy of the Francisco Casanovas Chamber Orchestra, created in Torrevieja in 1996 and active until 2006. Its members are distinguished soloists and professional musicians from major orchestras, brought together in a high-caliber ensemble. The repertoire encompasses varied and engaging programs for all audiences. The Casanovas Orchestra boasts the prestigious Maestro Enrique García Asensio as its honorary conductor and the cultural promoter and Ambassador of Genoa to the World, Enrico De Barbieri, as the orchestra's international representative. Its founding conductor is José Francisco Sánchez.
The Casanovas Flute Orchestra was founded by Juan Francisco Cayuelas Grao and José Francisco Sánchez Sánchez with the aim of promoting the flute, the instrument favored by Maestro Francisco Casanovas. Its creation continues the musical tradition established by the Flute Orchestra of the Murcia Higher Conservatory of Music and the Mediterranean Flute Orchestra, which between 1992 and 2010 maintained a vibrant activity with a high level of artistry and a broad repertoire. In terms of the number of members, the Casanovas Flute Orchestra is one of the largest flute ensembles in Spain. Its repertoire and training position it as a leading force in the current musical landscape. The orchestra comprises distinguished professors and soloists and is enriched by the participation of bass clarinets, bassoon, double bass, percussion, and piano. Its conductor is José Francisco Sánchez.
